Who Can Join FTW?

Anyone with a Riot Games account can join. Currently, we’re only publishing challenges for EMEA players but we’re hoping to expand to other regions soon!

Registration

When creating an account, you will be given the option to sign up using your Riot Games Account to streamline the process.

We will use the details from this account to determine your Riot ID, age, and find your LoL/VALORANT accounts so you can access the correct challenges.

Location & Locales

The FTW platform will determine the player’s location and show the appropriate locale in the Riotbar. For example, if you visit the site from Germany the text will automatically appear in German.

You can always change this at any time by clicking the globe icon in the Riotbar and selecting one of the 13 languages we currently have available for EMEA.

Personalisation

You can customise your profile with a great selection of avatars and backgrounds based on your favourite Riot Games titles. Afterall, you’ll want to look your best on the leaderboards.

Age Restrictions

Some content on the platform will be limited depending on the age of the player.

All creative challenges can only be accessed by those 16 or over.

Age limits for in-game challenges are game-dependent. League of Legends in-game challenges will be accessible to players aged 13 years old and up while you will need to be at least 16 years old to participate in VALORANT in-game challenges.

Types of Challenges

There are two primary types of challenges: CREATIVE and IN-GAME.

In-game focuses purely on gameplay and how you perform in matches while creative challenges will involve creating content and posting it on social media.

On the FTW platform, you will see a tag for what type of challenge it is:

Games

Currently, we have challenges available for League of Legends and VALORANT. However, we plan to support our other IPs in the future so be on the lookout!

How to Join?

In order to join a challenge, a player must have a FTW account and be logged in.

Each challenge will have its own requirements for participation such as your age, location, rank, current Summoner level, the server you play on etc. It is up to the player to review these before joining.

The system will verify if you’re eligible. If you don’t meet all the criteria, you will not be able to join. Requirements will be shown on the Challenge page as below:

For in-game challenges, the player just needs to click join, and if they’re eligible, they will become a participant. The system will then immediately start tracking your matches through API and determine your score.

For creative challenges, players will need to fill in a form before submitting their entry.

Players will need to:

• Click “Submit Entry” from the Challenge page
• Choose a social media platform
• Submit a link to their post
• Wait for the system to fetch and verify their link
  • As long as the post is linked to the player’s connected socials and is for the selected platform, the player can proceed
  • If the post fails the check, an error message will be displayed
• Image(s) and content will be pulled from the post and prefilled into the relevant fields
• Some of the fields will need manual input e.g. there are no titles on X, so we cannot prefill it with any data from the post
• Players can edit the content displayed on the FTW platform and adjust focal points if needed

Once ready, they can proceed to preview and submit.

Players will see either a confirmation or an error message after submitting depending on whether the submission was successful or not.

The entry will not be automatically visible. It will first need to be checked by Challenge Moderators for its authenticity, relevance to the challenge, and compliance with the terms and rules. You can read more about our Content Moderation here.

Once entry is approved, players will receive a notification (via email and in-app) that their entry is now visible. They will also receive notifications if their submission is rejected.

How to win?

With in-game challenges, a player must reach a certain score to be one of the winners. The number of winners depends on the challenge, but this will be mentioned in the challenge description.

For example, one challenge may offer the top 3 players rewards of a higher value but also reward the first 50 participants with some bonus in-game codes.

Some creative challenges might feature a panel of judges. For example, the top 10 submissions voted by players might qualify then those 10 will be judged by the challenge owners who will ultimately decide who wins.

Rewards

The type, quantity and value of rewards depends on each specific challenge, please ensure that you check all the details on a single challenge and what you can win.

For all our challenges, we try our best to reward players with fun prizes and the latest content related to our games. This could be, but is not limited to, in-game codes, merch, meet & greet experiences, custom-made rewards, etc.

The delivery of rewards is handled in a couple of different ways. We will either provide you with your code on the FTW platform so that you can copy it into the game client, or we will connect you with the challenge organisers to handle the shipping of physical rewards
