RULES OF THE EMEA COSPLAY GRAND TOUR 2025

1 GENERAL PROVISIONS

  • This document (further: the “Rules”) describes the terms and conditions of the EMEA Cosplay Grand Tour 2025 (the “Contest”).
  • Within the Contest we invite you (the “Contestant”) to share your best League of Legends Champions Cosplay themed around Spirit Blossom skins (your “Entry” or “Submission”). The prize will go to the Contestant whose Entry is the most creative and original.
  • The Contest is organised by Riot Games Services SL, with its registered office at World Trade Center Almeda, Plaça de la Pau, s/n, 08940 Cornellà de Llobregat, Barcelona (the “Organiser”).

2 WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

You can participate in the Contest if:

  • You are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your country of residence, i.e. when you are legally considered an adult) on the day of entering the Contest
  • you have full legal capacity (i.e. you can independently enter into legal transactions, including binding contracts), in accordance with your local law;
  • You are a resident of mainland Spain, mainland France, Germany or the United Kingdom.

You cannot participate in the Contest if you are an employee of the Organiser or of its affiliates, subsidiaries, manufacturers, sales representatives or advertising agencies; or a member of such employee’s immediate family.

3 WHEN DOES THE CONTEST TAKE PLACE?

The Contest begins on 14th June 2025 at 8:00 GMT and will end on 13th July 2025 at 23:30 GMT (the “Contest Period”). You must submit your Entry by the end of the Contest Period. Any Entry submitted outside the Contest Period will not be included in the Contest.

Our judges will select eight (8) winners from all qualifying Entries.

4 HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

To participate in the EMEA Cosplay Grand Tour 2025, you must submit your League of Legends-themed cosplay inspired by the “Spirit Blossom” skinline through the FTW Platform.

Submission Requirements

  • You must have an active Riot ID to complete your submission.
  • Your Riot account's home country must be correctly set to one of the eligible countries. If it is not, please contact Player Support to update your account information before submitting.
  • You can either create a new cosplay for this event or use a previously crafted one, as long as it aligns with the Spirit Blossom theme.
  • Only self-submissions are allowed: the person wearing the cosplay must be the same person submitting it. Submissions featuring someone else wearing the cosplay will be disqualified.

Posting & Linking Your Entry

  • You must post your cosplay entry online and submit the URL of your post through the FTW Platform under the EMEA Cosplay Grand Tour 2025 contest.
  • If you're submitting via X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, or Twitch, you'll need to connect your social media account to FTW before submitting.
  • For Facebook and Instagram, connecting your accounts is not required, but the post must be public and allow embedding.

Entry Guidelines: Each participant may submit only one (1) Entry.

About your Cosplay:

Cosplay Submission Guidelines

To participate, your Submission must include the name of the character you're cosplaying, along with the original game and the “Spirit Blossom” skinline from League of Legends.

You must also provide high-resolution photos of your cosplay. Possibly no smaller than 700×480 pixels. Low quality or blurry photos will be rejected. The photos must be unedited, avoid using Photoshop or applying any filters or enhancements. Submissions with altered images will be disqualified. The focus is on the craftsmanship of the cosplay itself, not on visual effects or presentation. Make sure to include full body shots that clearly display the entire costume, including any relevant props or weapons.

While not mandatory, it is highly recommended to take your photos outdoors in natural lighting. If taking them indoors, ensure the space is brightly lit so judges can properly evaluate your work.

Cosplay Eligibility Requirements

Your cosplay must be at least 50% complete, though a higher level of completion is strongly encouraged. Entries that have previously won major cosplay competitions (such as WCS, ECG, ECC, or national-level contests) are not eligible unless significant changes have been made to the design. Minor adjustments, like color swaps or accessory updates, are not enough to qualify as a new entry.

The costume should be predominantly your own work. Purchased, ready-made components may only make up 10% or less of what is visible in your cosplay. While full sponsorship of the costume is not allowed, you may use sponsored tools or small amounts of sponsored materials in the construction process.

Your cosplay must clearly and faithfully represent a character from League of Legends wearing a “Spirit Blossom” skin. It should be appropriate for all audiences, meaning no nudity, sexually suggestive elements, profanity, or references to political or religious content are permitted. This includes signs, clothing, props, or anything shown in your photos or skits.

The Organiser reserves the right to reject a Contestant’s Submission if it violates the provisions of applicable law, Contest rules or if the Cosplay may be considered racist, xenophobic, sexist, defamatory or otherwise offensive or illegal.

5 HOW WILL THE WINNER BE CHOSEN?

All winning entries will be selected by Riot Games, referred to as the “Contest Committee.” Judging will be based on three equally weighted criteria: Quality & Construction, Creativity, and Accuracy. Eight (8) winners will be chosen through this evaluation process.

Judging Criteria

  • Quality & Construction (33%): Judges will look for craftsmanship and attention to detail. This includes the quality of materials used, construction techniques, and overall execution. Unique approaches and refined techniques that elevate your cosplay will stand out.
  • Creativity (33%): Cosplays will be assessed on how creatively you approached the design and build. Every costume presents unique challenges, and we want to see how you solved them, whether through clever construction methods, material choices, or innovative workarounds.
  • Accuracy (33%): Judges will evaluate how closely your cosplay reflects the original League of Legends character and the “Spirit Blossom” skin. Thematic consistency and overall character representation are key. Note: A participant’s natural body type or skin tone will not affect the judging or final outcome.

At the time of submission, entries must include unedited photos and/or videos showing the cosplay being worn. Your cosplay should be at least 50% complete at this stage to give judges a clear representation during pre-selection.

Winner Notification and Announcement

The selected winners will be officially announced via the League of Legends social media channels in each participating country by July 18, 2025. The Organiser will reach out to winners through direct messages (DMs) on the social media account used to submit the entry, so be sure to monitor your inbox!

To claim the prize, winners will be required to provide additional information to Riot or an authorized agency within 7 days of the announcement. This information is solely for the purpose of prize distribution. In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679, Riot will store this data for no longer than 60 days after the contest concludes.

The Contest Committee’s decisions are final. The Organiser reserves the right to award other special prizes at its sole discretion.

6 WHAT’S THE PRIZE?

  • Riot will also cover travel and accommodation costs, including a two-night hotel stay in Madrid, to ensure finalists can attend the event. Logistics and arrangements will be coordinated by a Riot-authorized agency, who will contact winners directly.
  • In addition, participants will receive one ticket each to attend the LEC Finals on September 27 and September 28, 2025.

Prize Value and Terms
